This was the culmination of a naturopathic dream after leaving a career in nursing to start a family in 1990; prior to then Roz was a Registered Nurse and Midwife, with 12 years widespread country and city experience in Qld and NSW. Over the last two years Roz has also been running a small natural therapies practice at Beerwah in the Glasshouse Mountains.
As a member of the NHAA (National Herbalists Association of Australia) Roz carries both Professional Indemnity insurance, and provider status for a variety of Private Health Fund rebates (check with your health fund for availability under “Herbalist”.)
Western Herbal Medicine today encompasses nutritional and herbal therapeutic treatments in a combination of increasingly scientific, evidence-based and traditional therapies from societies around the world. This also includes Celloid Minerals and Flower Essences to address issues on a more vibrational, emotional level. Initial consultation may involve iridology as a part of the assessment process. Roz is also trained and available to do ear candling (great to help relieve pressure in blocked ears from colds, sinus congestion and before flying) and a gentle relaxation massage.
Although a member of a large and quite green-thumbed family, Roz’s efforts in the garden don’t extend to saleable home-made remedies; preferring to use only high quality, professional products to support your health and wellness needs.
Roz’s spare time is usually shared with her loving husband of 27 years and daughters, and catching up with close friends and extended family. She loves to gain negative ions from frequent rainforest and beach walks to balance today’s ever-changing environmental effects. A good book, shopping and sewing are always welcome distractions.
Roz’s is available for appointments – Monday and Friday.
